SAC Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: SACM), a leading
biometric 'Identification' technology development company,
today announced the debut of its latest 6th generation ID.ME
biometric identification fingerprint reader with integrated
applications, featuring Bio-Key technology at the
Fall 1999 COMDEX trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
CompuMark, LLC, a SAC Master Distributor and integration
partner, announced the completion of the successful integration
of I/O Software's Biometric SecureSuite with the ID.ME
reader. I/O's SecureSuite is a group of integrated
applications that bring the convenience and security of
biometric and other authentication methods to a PC or network
environment for Windows based operating systems. SecureSuite
applications include: SecureLogon which biometrically
controls access to a PC; SecureSession, a password
bank/single sign-on utility; SecureFolder, a file
and folder encryption and protection application; SecureApp,
a security tool which prevents any application (such as
games, browsers or accounting software) from being launched
by unauthorized users, and SecureEntrust which supports
Entrust Technologies Public-Key infrastructure (PKI), and
allows Entrust/PKI users to take advantage of SecureSuite's
biometric authentication services.
Internet Service Provider and application developer, All
American Internet, Inc. (AAI), a CompuMark, LLC licensed
reseller and channel distributor, introduced on-line ordering
at www.biometrickey.com
for pre-orders of the new SAC ID.ME reader and I/O's
SecureSuite software package. AAI is also demonstrating
secure Internet logon utilizing Bio-Key technology
for Web-based applications.
"ID.ME identification featuring Bio-Key technology
is the answer to many of the problems facing E-commerce
and Web-based applications," expressed John Monteleone,
AAI's Chief Executive Officer. "The basic problem with most
current security and identification solutions such as digital
certificates is that there is still no way to absolutely
identify the system user. The ID.ME fingerprint reader
and operating software create a unique Bio-Key, a
mathematical representation of a physical characteristic
of your fingerprint, which eliminates this inherent flaw
in typical solutions."
"The Web-based applications for this technology are countless.
From E-commerce transactions to Web site logon, Bio-Keys
can be used standalone or in conjunction with digital certificates,
passwords and other token based identifiers."
"SAC's goal," explained Mr. Barry Wendt, SAC Technologies
Chief Executive Officer, "is to provide the very best biometric
'identification' technology to our distribution and integration
partners such as CompuMark, LLC and All American Internet,
Inc. Through these alliances we plan to continue to evolve
our core technology and improve the reliability, utility
and cost effectiveness of the product for mainstream applications."
SAC's 6th generation ID.ME reader bundled with the
I/O SecureSuite is projected to be available for delivery
by mid-2000.
CompuMark, LLC and All American Internet Web-based applications
will be the featured highlight at the SAC Technologies'
exhibit booth #B1037 in the Biometrics Pavilion at the Fall
1999 COMDEX, November 15-19, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
